How merciful is Allah, Ten ways Allah forgives his slaves.
Shaykh al Islam Ibn Taymiyah said
والمؤمن إذا فعل سيئة فإن عقوبتها تندفع عنه بعشرة أسباب:
1- أن يتوب فيتوب الله عليه فإن التائب من الذنب كمن لا ذنب له.
2- أو يستغفر فيغفر له.
3- أو يعمل حسنات تمحوها فإن الحسنات يذهبن السيئات.
4- أو يدعو له إخوانه المؤمنون ويستغفرون له حيا وميتا.
5- أو يهدون له من ثواب أعمالهم ما ينفعه الله به.
6- أو يشفع فيه نبيه محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم.
7- أو يبتليه الله تعالى في الدنيا بمصائب تكفر عنه.
8- أو يبتليه في البرزخ بالصعقة فيكفر بها عنه.
9- أو يبتليه في عرصات القيامة من أهوالها بما يكفر عنه.
10- أو يرحمه أرحم الراحمين.
فمن أخطأته هذه العشرة فلا يلومن إلا نفسه.
Whenever a Momin commit sins, there are ten ways he can be compensated:
1. If he Repent from the sin Allah will forgive him as if he didn’t do it.
2. Do Istighfar (Asking forgiveness).
3. Doing an act of righteousness which will remove that sin.
4. Any Muslim can pray for his forgiveness whether he is living or after his death.
5. A Muslim gives charity on his behalf.
6. By the intercession of Prophet peace be upon him.
7. Allah may put him to the trial for the compensation.
7. Due to punishment in the grave.
8. His sins can be forgiven on the day of judgement.
10. Al Raheem (Allah) may forgive him without any questions due to his Mercy.
But the unfortunate one who does not get any of these should blame himself.
