Fakhr al din al Razi was accused of killing the King Shihab al din Ghori.
Ibn Kathir said:
ولما قتل كان في صحبته فخر الدين الرازي وكان يجلس للوعظ فيحضر الملك وعظه ، ويبكي حين يقول له في آخر مجلسه : يا سلطان ، سلطانك لا يبقى ، ولا تلبيس الرازي أيضا ، وإن مردنا جميعا إلى الله ، وحين قتل السلطان اتهمه الخاصكية بقتله ، فخاف من ذلك والتجأ إلى الوزير مؤيد الملك بن خواجا ، فسيره إلى حيث يأمن
When he (Ghori) was killed (by the kafir of bani Kokar) Fakhr al din Razi was with him… Some الخاصكية accused al Razi of this killing. He feared (so that people may not kill him unjustly), he took shelter of vizir Mueed al Malik bin khawaja who (secretly) took him to to a safe place.

Shihab al din Ghori is credited with laying the foundation of Muslim rule in the Indian subcontinent.
Note: al Razi also came to Indian subcontinent.
He said:
دخلت بلاد الهند فرأيت أولئك الكفار مطبقين على الاعتراف بوجود الإله
