Intelligence of Imam Abu Hanifa

Intelligence of Abu Hanifa rahimahullah and his answer to a Man who called Uthman bin Affan radhiAllahanho a Jew.

Khateeb Baghdadi narrated:

A man at that time used to call the Uthman Ibn Affan a Jew. One day Imam Abu Hanifa said to that man that he has got a proposal for his daughter and the suitor is an honorable man who is rich, memorised Quran, who is generous, performs prayer at night, weeps a lot from the fear of Allah. The man became very happy about the proposal. Imam Abu Hanifa then said that there is only one issue that the groom is a Jew. The man then said how I can give my daughter in marriage to a Jew. Imam Abu Hanifa said, if our Prophet (peace ne upon him) can give two daughters in marriage to a single Jew then why cannot you? The man understood his fault and said: Astaghfirullah , I ask forgiveness from Allah.
