Weak Hadith of Maimuna which says Prophet Said Labbayk (Here I am) & Nusirtu (I Helped You) to Raajiz (a sahabi) when he called for help from far away. This athar is against Quran, sahih hadiths & understanding of sahaba
The Athar
Maymuna bint Harith, the blessed wife of Prophet (Peace be upon her) narrates: The Prophet (Peace be upon him) was doing Wudhu for Tahajjud Salaah at the home of Hazrat Maimuna (radi Allahu anha). He suddenly called out three times, "Labbaik, Labbaik, Labbaik!" (Here I am) and "Nusirta, Nusirta, Nusirta!" (You have been saved). Hadhrat Maimuna (Radhi Allaho anha) further asked him why he had called out those words". He replied: "Raajiz (a sahabi from far) was calling me because Quraish wanted to kill him"[Imam Tabarani in Mu’jam as-Sagheer, Volume No.2, Hadith # 968]
Response
1. Chain of the hadith is not Authentic
2. This hadeeth is against Teachings of Qu`ran
3. This Hadeeth is Against Authentic hadeeth
4. This hadeeth is against authentic understandings of Sahaba
1. The chain of the hadith is not Authentic
Hafidh Tabrani himself said
وفي ذلك يرغبون لم يروه عن جعفر إلا محمد بن نضلة تفرد به يحيى بن سليمان ولا يروى عن ميمونة إلا بهذا الإسناد
"..No one has narrated this from Ja`far except Muhammad ibn Nadlah Yahyaa ibn Sulaimaan was (also) alone in narrating it, and it is not narrated from Maimoonah (radiyallaahu `anhaa) except with this Chain."
People who are trying to Authenticate this Athar say that the hadeeth should be Mutwatir for creed but here we can see they are taking Khabar al Wahid
a) Imaam Haythami in Majma al Zawaid in Hadith No: 10232 Vol 6 Page 160
رواه الطبراني في الصغير والكبير وفيه يحي بن سليمان بن نضلة وهو ضعيف
"Narrated by Tabrani in Sagheer and Al Kabeer, It has Yahyaa ibn Sulaimaan ibn Nadlah who is a weak"
Source: http://islamport.com/d/1/mtn/1/81/2991.html
c) Ibne Hajar Quoted
Ibne Khiraash Said لا يسوى شيئا. Leesan ul Meezan Vol 8 Page 450 no: 8471
d) Ibn Adi said in al-Kamil (7:255 no: 2156) said "he narrated reports from Mâlik and the Madinans, most of which are valid."
So we can not take Creed from the Narrator who is weak and makes mistakes and Iham
2nd narrator Muhammad bin nadla
Sheikh Shua'yb al Arnau't in his Tehqeeq of Sharh Muskhil al Athar (Vol 14 Page 391 no: 5701) commenting on a different hadith he said that Chain is Weak and he could not find a biography of Muhammad bin Nadhla.
2. This is Against Teachings of Quran
Allah says in Surah Fatir Ayah14.
If ye invoke them, they will not listen to your call, and if they were to listen, they cannot answer your (prayer). On the Day of Judgment they will reject your "Partnership". and none, (O man!) can tell thee (the Truth) like the One Who is acquainted with all things.
a) Qurtubee’s Commentry
Meaning is If you Call them for help in hard situations then they can not hear you because they are Jamadaat, they can not see nor hear.
.
then he said..
This is Possible that this ayah is for Angels,Jinn, Prophets and Satan they will Reject What have you done and also THEY (the Prophets, jinn and angels will reject that they) told them to worship them, Like EESA ALEH SALAM will say It was not for me to say what I had no right (to say).
.And Allah Says in Surah Nahl Ayah 53
c) Commentary of Jalalayn says
Whatever grace you have, it is from God, none but He brings it (mā, ‘whatever’, is either a conditional or relative [particle]). Then when misfortune, poverty or illness, befalls you, to Him you cry for help, [to Him] you raise your voices with pleas for help and supplications, and you do not call upon any other than Him.
3. This is Against Authentic Hadeeth
Narrated Jubair bin Mutim: A woman came to the Prophet who ordered her to return to him again. She said, "What if I came and did not find you?" as if she wanted to say, "If I found you dead?" The Prophet said, "If you should not find me, go to Abu Bakr."[Bukhari]
Comment
This is beautiful hadeeth against Asking help from Prophet peace be upon him after his death; because if asking help from him after his(peace be upon him) death prescribed then the wordings of hadeeth Should be, "If you should not find me, Come to my grave and ask me or ask me from where ever you want.", But this is not the case here and Prophet peace be upon him was not shy to tell us the truth about Islam. He completed his Mission and told us about complete way of life.
4. This is against Authentic Understandings of Sahaba.
Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle sent a Sariya of ten men as spies under the leadership of 'Asim bin Thabit al-Ansari, the grandfather of 'Asim bin Umar Al-Khattab. They proceeded till they reached Hadaa, a place between 'Usfan, and Mecca, and their news reached a branch of the tribe of Hudhail called Bani Lihyan. About two-hundred men, who were all archers, hurried to follow their tracks till they found the place where they had eaten dates they had brought with them from Medina. They said, "These are the dates of Yathrib (i.e. Medina), "and continued following their tracks When 'Asim and his companions saw their pursuers, they went up a high place and the infidels circled them. The infidels said to them, "Come down and surrender, and we promise and guarantee you that we will not kill any one of you" 'Asim bin Thabit; the leader of the Sariya said, "By Allah! I will not come down to be under the protection of infidels. O Allah! Convey our news to Your Prophet.
(Bukhari Book#52, Hadith #281)and in (Sahih Bukhari Book #59, Hadith #412)
Comment
Its clear the sahaba asked help from ALLAH that is O Allah inform our Prophet, Why cant they call like O Prophet or O Ali or O Wali etc , help us , so and so,They believed only Allah can hear from far away and can help from anywhere but not Prophet peace be upon him and any other wali, and Prophet peace be upon him is not watching them nor he is with them(that is creed of omnipresence of Prophet (Hadir nadir)
